UKVS TASTER WEEK

Experience UKVS Before You Enrol

Choosing the right online school is an important decision.
That's why we invite your child to experience UKVS for a full week before you decide.

Taster Week Form

This year, we are offering a Taster Week for new families looking to join UKVS in September 2026.

To minimise disruption for our current students, places are limited to one taster student per year group each week.

Please note that Taster Week places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please choose what year group you are interested *

Primary Taster Week

Secondary Taster Week

The taster week will include the following:

An induction session where students will learn how our portal works and be given a schedule for the week with information about their teachers

A week of taster classes*

● Primary taster* classes could include Maths, English, Science, Art, and Worldviews, Short courses

● Secondary taster* classes could include Maths, English, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art, Worldviews, History, Geography, Computer Science, Latin, Short courses.

*We will propose a timetable to you based on the availability of subjects. We aim to provide a good variety in the timetable we present.

A feedback session where the students can let us know how they found the subjects and we jointly come up with a potential schedule for them for September. Students will have the opportunity to sit in class either as an observer or if they would like, they may participate as a regular student. They will have access to all the functionalities of a typical student in a lesson ie the ability to communicate in class, interact, and engage. Please note access to the taster week gives limited access to other elements of UKVS. For example, your child will not have access to homework, video recordings, and other enrolment benefits.

Our son really enjoys learning with UKVS. He loves his teachers and is excited for every lesson. I was impressed with how easily and quickly he learned to read in English - and that's on his phonics teacher! :) Currently, his favourite subject is Art - it's a super creative and fun class. We're definitely staying with UKVS for next year!

UKVS has been a great experience for our daughter who cannot attend her mainstream setting. The staff are exceptional! The teachers are very friendly and accommodating to a child’s needs and made our daughter feel comfortable straight away. Syd is great and the admin staff are very responsive and have dealt with any query very quickly and efficiently. The flexibility of being able to choose the number of subjects is great and fits with our needs perfectly. The small class sizes are fantastic and really help our daughter to engage and participate in lessons. We would highly recommend UKVS! We did the taster week to start with and our daughter wanted to start immediately after!

We would be lost without UKVS. It has brought so much ease into our homeschooling without "giving up" on the homeschooling. UKVS is unlike any other online school. You have the professional experience of teachers blended with so much joy and warmth which is lacking in physical schools. The flexibility is unlike any other we have tried. The best thing.... my children are learning and love learning with their teachers. They have connected and made friends with children from around the world. I have been homeschooling for 14 years and have found nothing like UKVS. It's brilliant.

A great alternative to mainstream school. My son really enjoyed his time here. The teachers and Syd the founder are all really approachable. Lessons were delivered online and really engaging. They also have fun short courses in a variety of subjects. I highly recommend UKVS.

What an amazing school. We are new to home schooling and we don’t really know what the expect. Blown away by the support and the teaching offered to our 14 year old. We are really excited to see how well she does with the school - my prediction is she will achieve far more and be happier at UKVS than in her last school.
